Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of StillThere. By creating an account or adding to a family archive, you agree to them. The short version: use the service for what it's built for, treat other people's families with care, and we'll keep the lights on.
1. The service
StillThere is a private, multi-user archive that lets a family preserve the stories, photos, voice recordings, and connections of the people in it. It runs on Firebase (Google Cloud) and is operated by Tunnxo.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Use a strong password and do not share your account.
- Provide accurate account information; we use your email for important notices such as sign-in alerts and password resets.
3. Family archives
- A family archive is shared among the members invited to it. Every member can read what other members add unless the archive owner restricts that.
- Archive administrators can invite and remove members, promote other members to administrator, and delete the archive. If you are the sole administrator of an archive that still has members, you must promote another member before deleting your account (the in-app flow will tell you when this applies).
- You retain ownership of the content you upload. By uploading, you grant the other members of your archive a non-exclusive right to view, download, and reshare that content within the archive. You can revoke that right by deleting the content.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use StillThere to:
- Upload content that you do not have the right to share — including other people's private photographs, voice recordings, or personal data uploaded without their knowledge.
- Harass, defame, or threaten other members of your archive (or anyone else).
- Upload content that is unlawful in your jurisdiction (copyrighted works without permission, illicit imagery, etc.).
- Attempt to circumvent the security, App Check, or rate limits on the service.
- Use the service to send unsolicited messages to people who are not members of your archive.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms. Before taking action, we will normally warn you and give you a chance to remedy the issue, except in cases of serious harm or illegal activity.
5. AI features (optional)
StillThere offers optional AI features (biography drafts, Ask Legacy, timeline suggestions). They are off by default and are gated behind an explicit enable flag. When you turn them on, the content you choose to submit to those features is sent to a third-party large language model provider for processing under their terms. You can turn the features off again at any time, which stops future requests but does not retroactively recall prior ones.
6. Subscriptions and payments
StillThere is currently free to use. If paid tiers are introduced in the future, this section will be updated before they take effect, and App Store / Play Store subscriptions will be governed by those stores' terms.
7. The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep the service reliable and your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and Tunnxo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to these Terms
If we make a material change, we will surface an in-app notice and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
