# StillThere

> StillThere is a private family archive app for iOS and Android. It keeps a long-form biography, a living timeline, voice recordings, photographs and an interactive family tree for the people a family wants to remember — shared only with the family members they invite, not with a public feed.

## What StillThere is

StillThere is a mobile app (iOS and Android) that functions as a private, invite-only family archive. Each family creates its own isolated workspace and builds a permanent record for the people in it.

The app is organised "per person" rather than as a chronological feed: you open a page for a relative and see their portrait, biography, dates, timeline, voice notes and place in the family tree. It is designed as a keepsake to be handed down, not a stream of content to scroll.

## Core features

- **Biography** — a long-form memoir for each family member, written in the family's own voice.
- **Timeline** — milestones, journeys and everyday moments placed on a quiet chronology.
- **Voice notes** — recorded audio stories, plus scanned handwritten letters and vintage photographs.
- **Family tree** — an interactive tree linking ancestors and descendants across generations.
- **Family archive** — shared collections and anniversary-style keepsakes within the family workspace.
- **Private by default** — up to 20 members per family; each family is a separate workspace protected by Firebase App Check (App Attest on iOS, Play Integrity on Android).

## Who it is for

People who want to preserve family stories, photographs and voice recordings privately, and who want to build that archive gradually over years rather than in one sitting. Typical users are families keeping a record of grandparents, parents, and other relatives.
